A school bus crash in Cottonwood, Minnesota killed four students and left several injured Tuesday afternoon.
The Lakeview School bus transporting kids ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade was traveling on a highway when it was hit by a van and then struck by a pickup causing the student filled bus to tip.
Reports shortly after the crash listed almost 40 students on the bus but that has since been dropped to 28.
Motorists who arrived on the scene quickly gathered injured children and transported them to an area hospital. Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center admitted 11 patients with two remaining in critical condition while two victims of the accident were taken to the Granite Falls Hospital.
Lakeview School has an enrollment of 585 students. Classes were cancelled for Wednesday.
