Barack Obama to Pick up Teamsters Endorsement

The Barack Obama campaign continues to gain momentum as the 1.4 million member International Brotherhood of Teamsters plans to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate.

It would be another major step for the Illinois senator as he closes in on earning his Party’s nomination. Last Thursday Obama snagged an endorsement from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union and he followed that with an endorsement from the Service Employees International Union on Friday.

The endorsement is not good news for Hillary Clinton who has seen her status as a frontrunner dissipate as she now trails Obama in the delegate count and could face major problems without impressive wins in the March 4 primaries in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont.
