Standard Motor Products Inc (SMP) to Release Q4 2007 Earnings March 3

Standard Motor Products Inc (NYSE:SMP) will release the fourth quarter earnings for 2007 on March 3.

Standard Motor Products engages in the manufacture and distribution of replacement parts for motor vehicles in the automotive aftermarket industry.  Organized into two operating divisions, each segment has a specific line of parts to focus on.  Engine Management manufactures ignition and emission parts, on board computers, ignition wires, battery cables and fuel system parts.  Temperature Control manufactures, as well as remanufactures, air conditioning, compressors, and heating parts.

Company clientele include warehouse distributors and large retail chains throughout the United States, Canada and Latin America as well as in Europe through its European segment.

The company acquired the ignition and coil business of Biazet El in Poland, April 2006.
