FERN STREET CIRCUS CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH SPECTACULAR SHOW IN 2010 ~HOPE~
IN BALBOA PARK FOR 12 PERFORMANCES ONLY: LAST PERFORMANCED SAT & SUN.
San Diego is in for a real treat in 2010. Fern Street Circus, founded twenty years ago as an educational and performing arts theatrical organization, has announced that this year’s 20th annual production, entitled HOPE, will draw its inspiration from highlights of two decades of innovative performances. The Circus will set up its trademark circus tent in Balboa Park May 21st through 30th where audience members will share the intimate space with a combination of professional circus artists and advanced students from the Fern Street Circus year round after-school circus skills program.
The all-new show invites us to join Blum the clown as he unveils a box of wonders collected during twenty years of travel. Pietro the Prankster opens the box and pandemonium breaks loose! You will be mesmerized as ‘Hope’ winds his way through the show. As always, classic circus arts will be skillfully mixed with contemporary stagecraft to dazzle and amaze young and old alike. There will be clowns, jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, wire walkers and more…live family entertainment at its very best.

Sundays, May 23 + 30 at 1:00 PM & 4:00 PM
