Vunies High, Sister of Boxing Legend Joe Louis, Found Dead in Snow

The 92-year-old sister of former heavyweight boxing champion Joe Louis was found dead in a bank of snow on Monday just outside her assisted-living facility located just outside Detroit, Michigan.

An autopsy report indicated that Vunies High died as a result of hypothermia after being discovered in her pajamas and wearing one shoe. Her body was located on the lawn outside The Heatherwood retirement home.

High moved to the assisted-living community after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
