Clinton leads Obama by 12 points, 44% to 32%, but her lead is substantially smaller than the 20 point advantage she held in January. Pennsylvanians’ preferences in the Democratic primary will continue to change as the April primary nears for two reasons. First, one in five (20%) registered adults says they “don’t know” for whom they will vote. Second, even among those who voice a candidate choice, about two in five (37%) are still making up their minds. Clinton leads Obama among women, whites, and those with the least education (see Table A-1). Obama does better among non-whites and those with a college degree. Obama does not yet hold an advantage among young adults, which is a group he has won by large margins in many early primary states.
