Snowstorms Cause Flight Delays in Northeast

As snowstorms hit the Northeast on Friday many flights were cancelled or delayed. At least 6 to 9 inches of snow accumulated in parts of metropolitan New York causing flights to be delayed at John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport. Westchester Airport in New York closed.

Newark International Airport in New Jersey was also affected by the weather. The airport is expecting flights to be delayed for more that three hours. The Logan Airport in Boston is said to have “the worst delays” they’ve had in years.

Philadelphia International Airport in Pennsylvania canceled many of their flights because of the weather. The Philadelphia school district announced that schools would be closing at noon.
