2010 French Open Round 4 Results: Serena Williams Continues to Cruise, Advances to Quarters with Win Over Shahar Peer

Serena Williams was once again in dominant form on Monday as she blasted Israel’s Shahar Peer in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the French Open quarterfinals at Roland Garros.

Serena struck six aces and hammered out 24 winners compared to Peer who didn’t have an ace and managed just ten winners. While Serena did have 20 unforced errors in the match she did collect six break points and attacked Peer’s first serve, a serve that produced points on just 44 percent of those offerings.

Williams has achieved a career Grand Slam with five wins at the Australian Open (2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010), three titles at the U.S. Open (1999, 2002, 2008), three at Wimbledon (2002, 2003, 2009) and a French Open title (2002).
