Academic Summer Camp Announces U.S. Summer 2008 Schedule

Expanded Summer Camp Schedule Reflects Dramatic Growth In Recent Years

One of the nation’s leading academic summer camps, SuperCamp, today announced an expanded schedule of programs for summer 2008. Included in the announcement is the fact that the summer program will have a new midwest location at Drake University in Iowa.

Over 35 individual camp sessions will be offered in 2008 across eight U.S. colleges covering all areas of the country. In addition to Drake, the colleges include three California summer camps - Stanford, Cal State San Marcos in San Diego and The Claremont Colleges just east of Los Angeles - as well as Cornell, Wake Forest, the University of Washington in Seattle, and Colorado College.

SuperCamp will carry four age-specific programs: a Youth Forum for boys and girls going into grades 4 and 5 in the fall, Junior Forum for kids going into grades 6-8, Senior Forum for teens entering grades 9-12 and Quantum U for incoming college freshmen.

The expanded program schedule for 2008 reflects the fact that over 200 students ended up on the waiting list last summer, unable to get into the camp of their choice. SuperCamp’s growing popularity is an indication that parents view academic summer camps as a solid investment in their kids’ future.

SuperCamp’s growth has not been limited to the U.S. Currently there are SuperCamp programs running in several countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Additionally, SuperCamp’s Quantum Learning teaching methods are being used by teachers in at least 30 states nationwide. In fact, over two million students have been reached by Quantum Learning teachers.
