An American Airlines flight to Chicago has landed safely in Miami after being diverted with nose gear trouble.
Flight 862 landed at Miami International Airport around 3:45 p.m. EST. It had taken off from West Palm Beach, Fla., but soon had trouble.
Pilots of the MD-80 jet first burned off fuel as a precaution before landing. Airport spokesman Greg Chin said there were about 130 people aboard the plane.
