Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige Kick Off Tour in Miami, FL at AmericanAirlines Arena on March 22.

Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige will be kicking off their highly anticipated tour on March 22 at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

The tour, which will be called "Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City," was touted in a press release as “the first time in more than 15 years that African American male/female [artists] of this stature have co-headlined a national concert tour.”

Jay-Z has won seven Grammy Awards and is the former president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records. He is a co-owner of the NBA franchise New Jersey Nets as well as the upscale 40/40 Club. In 2007 he released his tenth album American Gangster which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

Following the show in Miami the two performers will head to Baltimore, Maryland for a show on March 26 and then to Uniondale, NY for a show March 27.
