Texas Toddler Found Shortly After Amber Alert Issued

An Amber Alert issued for a 2-year-old Houston, Texas girl has been called off after the toddler was found safe behind a shopping center near her house.

Aliyah Mejia had been inside her family’s pickup truck when the vehicle was stolen around 5:00 a.m. The young girl was found about six hours later and taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.

Police are still searching for the stolen Nissan truck bearing Texas tags 926XWJ.
