Suzanne Wangler, Former Detroit News Anchor, Found Dead Inside Her Home

Suzanne Wangler, a former news anchor in Detroit and Lansing, Michigan, was found dead inside her home on Saturday in what is believed to be a suicide.

Wangler had been a news anchor for WDIV-TV Detroit and most recently had worked as an anchor in Lansing at WLAJ where she went by the name Suzanne Page. The 42-year-old retired last week but had been facing a lot of legal problems in relation to charges of embezzlement and a drunken driving case.

The mother of four had been arraigned last week and was facing charges of embezzlement and larceny for taking about $150,000 from her boyfriend two years ago. Each charge carried a prison sentence of up to ten years.

A relative went to Wangler’s Royal Oak home on Saturday and found her unresponsive. It has been reported that she died from asphyxiation.
