Stoudemire Might Join Free Agency Talks
Suns Center May Talk With Wade, James, Bosh
According to a report from ESPN.com, Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns may be joining in on the free agency talks between such other soon-to-be hot prospect free agents as Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, and LeBron James. Stoudemire recently told AOL Fanhouse that "I'm friends with LeBron, Dwyane, Chris [Bosh] -- all those guys are friends of mine... So I'm pretty sure they'll call me and we'll talk about a few things." Wade recently made a similar announcement, saying that he will likely meet with James and Johnson to discuss and perhaps coordinate their free agency plans. Suns coach Alvin Gentry said, "If you're asking me, 'Do we want him back?' Yeah, we want him back," but Stoudemire is not sure if he will be returning. Among the teams that have enough of a cap to recruit one or even two of these starts are the Chicago Bulls, the Miami Heat, and the New York Knicks. A date has not yet been set for these talks, but free agency begins on July 1, so these NBA stars will probably want to meet sooner than later.
