Chinese Man Guns Down Three Judges, Injures Three More

A man carrying a submachine gun burst into a courtroom office in China’s southern province of Hunan and opened fire, killing three judges and injuring three more before taking his own life.

According to reports the man, said to be the head of security at a post office in the area, entered the Lingling District People’s Court with the intent of exacting revenge for a ruling he found unfavorable. That ruling involved his divorce and he was still bitter about how the court divided the assets between the two.

The 46-year-old man appeared to fire indiscriminately after bursting into the office where the judges had been discussing a case. After firing off several rounds the attacker took his own life and authorities found two more weapons in his possession.
