The family of deceased teen, Jeffrey Boyan, was recently awarded $1.1 million in wrongful death lawsuit over a car accident that occurred in January of 2007.

Jeffery Boyan, then 19, was involved in a head-on collision with another car on January 2, 2007 while crossing State Road 40 in Ocala, Florida. The other driver, Gary Marietta crashed against Boyan’s truck, leading Boyan to incur fatal head injuries. After being hospitalized due to severe trauma and wounds, Boyan passed away three months after the car accident took place.

Boyan’s parents, James and Laura Boyan, sought the help of the Orlando-based accident attorney firm, Morgan & Morgan and partnered with accident attorneys Alexander Clem and John Dill to file a wrongful death claim against Marietta. They Boyans claimed they were suffering from Post Traumatic Stress and depression after their son’s death and believed it was their right to be compensated for their son’s loss.

After a three year battle, a verdict on the case was reached on April 29 in Ocala. The jury awarded the Boyan family a settlement of $1.1 million over the death of their son.

Clem and Dill are just two of the accident attorney firm’s lawyers that have been helping countless victims throughout Florida and the Southeast, such as the Boyans, fight for their rights for years.
