Bon Jovi
will be performing live at the City of Manchester Stadium
in Manchester, United Kingdom on June 22 at 5:00
pm.
Having sold 120 million albums and performed in over 2,500 concerts in more
than 50 countries for over 32 million fans, Bon Jovi has been rocking out for
over two decades. Bon Jovi’s most recent album, Lost Highway was released June 19, 2007
which features the hit songs, “Lost
Highway” and “(You Want to) Make a Memory.” In
2005, the album Have a Nice Day featured “Who Says You Cant Go Home” which
later won a Grammy.
Commonly referred to as COMS or Eastlands, the City of Manchester Stadium was
originally designed as part of the city’s failed submission for the 2000 Summer
Olympics. The sports venue was then
built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games for GB£110 million. Following the games, the venue was used for
football accepting Manchester City F.C as their resident team. The team moved to the stadium in 2003 after
leaving Main Road
and signed a 250 year lease.
The stadium is noted as the fifth largest facility in the FA
Premier League and the 12th largest in the UK.
It can accommodate 47,726 along two tiers that wrap around the field and
a third tier along two side stands.
The venue has announced that it will be hosting the 2008
UEFA Cup Final.
