Gottschalks Inc (GOT) to Release Q4 2007 Earnings March 4

Gottschalks Inc (NYSE:GOT) will release the fourth quarter earnings for 2007 on March 4.

A regional department and specialty store chain, Gottschalks Inc is based in Fresno, California.  As of February 3, 2007, the company operated 60 full-line Gottschalks departments stores.  The stores are located in the Western states, 38 in California, 8 in Washington, 6 in Alaska, 4 in Oregon, 2 in Nevada and 2 in Idaho.  Five Village East and Gottschalks specialty stores are also in operation.

The department stores offer a variety of better to moderate brand-name and private label merchandise, such as men’s, women’s, junior’s and children’s apparel, cosmetics, shoes, fine jewelry and accessories, as well as home furnishings, such as china, housewares, domestics, small electric appliances and sometimes furniture and mattresses.

The average Gottschalks department store is 40,000 to 150,000 square feet.
