Drug abuse does not recognize skin color, country of origin, cultural differences and practices, or any of the other things that make a person unique and our country so diverse. Anyone can become addicted to drugs or alcohol, and unfortunately, many people do.
When a person enters a drug rehab program at G&G Holistic Drug Rehab, the staff members do not recognize ethnicity or any of the other things mentioned earlier, either. What they do recognize is that the person sitting in front of them has admitted that a drug problem exists and he is seeking help.
While discussing and planning the implementation of the rehab program, staff members will take such things as ethnic and cultural practices into consideration. For example, they will let the nutritionists know when a person who does not eat certain types of meat or other foods because of religious beliefs is in attendance so that meals will be planned accordingly.
Or, they might, to the extent that they can, recognize a person’s cultural attitude towards other things or people, while maintaining and demonstrating the expectations of respect that is to be shown to all persons by both the client and staff members. In this way, the rehab program can be implemented in the best way possible, without the added difficulties of personality or cultural clashes.
A person’s ethnicity will not be used as an excuse or reason for one’s drug abuse, nor will staff members or clients be allowed to react in a way that will reveal any feelings concerning this. The only thing that “causes” drug abuse is the use of drugs and alcohol to such an extent that they become addictive.
At G&G Holistic Drug Rehab, we will treat everyone with the respect they deserve. We are interested in our clients as the individuals they are, and nothing else. For more information about a drug rehab program, please visit our website at http://www.holisticdrugrehab.com/ or call 1-800-559-9503.
