How Dangerous is Ecstasy?

Narconon Reveals Real Dangers of Ecstasy Pills

Narconon Drug Rehab warns that the dangers of Ecstasy pills can be deadly and its contents are often unpredictable.

Ecstasy is one of the most dangerous drugs out there,” states Mary Rieser, of Narconon Drug Rehab. “Kids are trying this drug because they think it is a fun party drug.  In addition to the side effects that we do know, since the drug is relatively new, we do not yet know the real impact this drug might have on our children. “

MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, XTC, E, or X pills or the “rave drug” is deadly.  One pill can be fatal.  People buying this drug are often unaware of the pills’ contents.  Laboratory analysis shows that many of these pills do not contain MDMA at all.

MDMA produces effects of euphoria, love, and happiness in the user.  The side effects include increased blood pressure, dehydration, hyperthermia, and death.  “Rave” goers who take the drug, often feel no fatigue, so they will often dance for hours without drinking water or fluids and without breaks, increasing the side effects and causing more problems.

To make matters worse, these pills may not even contain MDMA.  They can contain MDEA, or speed, and other substances with even greater risks.  MDEA has more of a hallucinogenic effect.  These pills have a shorter life span and users are tempted to take two or three pills doubling and tripling the dangers.

This can lead to drug addiction and in many cases, death.
