Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes redness and swelling of the face that can also affect the scalp, neck, ears, chest, and back.  Eye symptoms (ocular rosacea) are also reported by half of people with rosacea. William Abramovits, M.D., FAAD is a Dallas dermatologist who graduated from medical school at Universidad Central de Venezuela. Dr. Abramovits is in private practice at Dermatology Treatment & Research Center. He is a Professor of Dermatology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is also a clinical instructor in the Department of Dermatology.
