Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band to Perform Live at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena April 27

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing live at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 27 at 7:30 pm.

An American songwriter, singer and guitarist, Bruce Springsteen toured with the E Street Band several times since 1972. Springsteen is known for his heartland rock style of music mixed with pop hooks, poetic lyrics and Americana sentiments. The musician has won eighteen Grammy Awards and an Academy Award. Springsteen’s most popular albums include, Born to Run and Born in the U.S.A and has sold over 60 million albums within the United States alone.

Commonly called the Uptown Arena, or Bobcats, the Charlotte Bobcats Arena is located in Uptown Charlotte in North Carolina.  The entertainment and sports venue stands as the home of the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA and opened for the first time in October of 2005.  The event was celebrated with a performance by The Rolling Stones.  The first Bobcats game was played in the venue on November 5, 2005.

The facility can accommodate 19,026 during NBA games, but can hold up to 20,200 for college basketball games.

In addition to the Bobcats, the minor league hockey team of the ECHL, the Charlotte Checkers, also resides within the arena.  The facility can only accommodate 14,100 during Checkers games.
