Student Arrested for Lighting Teacher’s Hair on Fire

A student at Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut was arrested and later expelled following an incident in which they torched a science teacher’s hair.

According to police a female student took a lighter to the ponytail of teacher George Lardas and while he didn’t suffer any burns or require medical attention his hair was singed.

The name of the student was not released but she was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, third-degree assault and breach of peace. The school has expelled the student.
