Narconon Article in National Magazine

Original Narconon Student Interviewed About Drug Rehab

The correct methods of drug rehabilitation can be a confusing and much debated topic. Some blame drug addiction on deficient genes, others on chemical malfunctions, others on upbringing.

The real proof of the correct method of drug rehabilitation is in the results. That is why Gordon Weinand, an original graduate from the first Narconon
Drug Rehab Program in 1967, has been involved since then in helping others get off and stay off drugs.

Mr. Weinand, who currently works for the Public Relations Department in Narconon Drug Rehab, was interviewed recently by Natural Awakenings® Magazine, for an article featuring natural methods of combating drug addiction. The magazine specializes in natural health, fitness, environment, and creative expression.

“We were pleased to be approached by Natural Awakenings® Magazine,” commented Mr. Weinand. “It gives others a chance to see that there is hope for drug addiction, and it doesn’t mean that they have to take drugs just to get off drugs. I have been clean 42 years thanks to Narconon, and constantly receive calls from graduates and parents thanking me and Narconon for saving their life or that of their child. It is good to know I am part of a multinational organization that can truly help others live happy and drug-free lives.”

The article describes the development of the Narconon Drug Rehab Method, which includes a natural detoxification protocol. This sauna and exercise protocol flushes the body of drug residues and has been reported to greatly reduce or eliminate drug cravings. Followed by life skills courses designed for relapse prevention, the Narconon program has a 76% success rate.

The Natural Awakenings® Magazine with the interview is available in stores.
