Judge Sentences Man to Life in Prison for CNN Killing

A jury convicted Arthur Mann of murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and numerous firearms possession charges in relation to the killing of a 22-year-old woman at the CNN headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.

Following the conviction a judge sentenced Mann to life in prison without parole.

Mann had confronted his ex-girlfriend Clara Riddles last April while she was working at her job at a hotel attached to the CNN Center. He grabbed her by the hair and began dragging her towards an escalator and when she tried to resist he shot her twice.

The 40-year-old Mann had served prison time in Florida after being convicted of murder during a robbery but after four years of a ten year sentence he was freed.
