Jay-Z and Mary J Blige to Perform Live at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum March 27

Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige will be performing live at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on March 27 at 7:30 pm.

Jay-Z, legally named Shawn Corey Carter, is the president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records.  The American rapper is also the co owner of the 40/40 Club and the New Jersey Nets of the NBA and is noted as one of the most successful hip-hop artists and entrepreneurs in the United States.

Jay-Z albums include The Blueprint and Kingdom Come.

Mary Jane Blige is noted as an American R&B, soul and hip hop soul singer and songwriter.  The performer has also been known to act as rapper, record producer and actress.  The hip hop icon sold over 40 million records and more than 10 million singles worldwide.  In addition, the performer has had over 26 Grammy Award nominations and won eight.  Her voice is often compared to the likes of Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin.

Commonly referred to as the Nassau Coliseum or the Coliseum, the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is located in Uniondale, New York.  The multi-purpose arena is 19 miles outside of New York City on Long Island.  Current residents include the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and the New York Dragons Arena Football League.  The site first opened in 1972, spanning across 63 acres of Mitchel Field, what used to be an Army and Air Force base.
