Jack Johnson

Born in
Johnson’s
albums include Brushfire Fairytales, On and On, In Between Dreams, Sing-A-Longs
and Lullabies for the Film Curious George and Sleep Through the Static.
Johnson directed
a film with his friend from film school, Chris Malloy entitled Thicker than
Water (2000).
Johnson is
also the founder of Brushfire Records, established in 2002. The company is responsible for the release of
the Thicker than Water soundtrack. Matt
Costa, Animal Liberation Orchestra, G. Love & Special Sauce and Rogue Wave
are signed with the label.
Johnson
also co-founded the Kokua Hawaii Foundation in 2004 in an effort to support
environmental education throughout

first opened on September 5, 1998, hosting a concert featuring Bob Dylan and
