Joran Van der Sloot Captured in Chile
Joran Van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the murder of
Stephany Flores Ramirez this week in Peru, has been captured in Chile. Peruvian
authorities, along with officials from Interpol, Chile, Argentina and Colombia,
began looking for Van der Sloot Wednesday after Ramirez’s body was found in a
Lima hotel room registered in his name.
Van der Sloot was arrested Thursday in Santiago, Chile. The
22-year-old was suspected in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee
Holloway in Aruba. He was never charged.
