Alaska Governor Sarah Palin announced Thursday that she is interested in running for national office.
Palin, 46, is rumored to be on the short list of running mates for Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) when he is awarded the Republican nomination.
Palin is the first-ever female governor in Alaska history. She is the mother of four, an Alaska resident, and a member of the NRA and was the chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
Governor Palin is pro-life, believes marriage should only be between a man and a woman, is for capital punishment, and supports the right to bear arms. Her strong stance on family values and her own family will sway conservative voters otherwise undecided.
