Van Halen to Perform Live at the Scottrade Center March 30

Van Halen will be performing live at the Scottrade Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey on March 30 at 7:30 pm.

A hard rock band from Pasadena California, Van Halen was formed in 1972 and released their self titled debut album in 1978. The band sold over 80 million albums worldwide by the year 2007 and has had several number one hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

Although the Recording Industry Association of America reports that the band is the 19th best selling band of all time, with salves of over 56 million albums in the US, Van Halen may be better known for the dramatic exits of its former band members. Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth left the band several times and were constantly surrounded by controversy and mass press coverage. Michael Anthony, the founding bassist, was recent kicked off of the band for controversial reasons. Yet despite the band’s inner turmoil, Van Halen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 12, 2007.

Previously named the Kiel Center and the Savvis Center, the Scottrade Center is located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri.  It has been nicknamed “The House that Brett Hull Built.”

Opened in 1994, the 20,000 seat arena is the home of the St. Louis Blues of the NHL.  The venue offers various forms of entertaining, including, professional wrestling, concerts, ice shows, family shows and sporting events.  Hosting around 175 events per year, the facility draws in almost 2 million spectators annually.
