Body of Model Katoucha Niane Found in Paris River

Katoucha, who was originally from Africa, modeled for top designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, and Jules-Francois Crahay. She later quit runway and began speaking out against female circumcision. She wrote a book about her experience called “Katoucha, In My Flesh.”

In 1994, Katoucha set up her own clothing label.
