Daughter Among Suspects Held in Alba, Texas Murders

A 16-year-old girl is among the four suspects being held by police in connection with the murders of the girl’s mother and two brothers early Saturday morning in Alba, Texas. The girl’s father has been left critically injured from a gunshot wound but he managed to drag himself to a neighbor’s house.

According to police the four suspects shot and stabbed Penny Caffey, 37; Matthew Caffey, 13; and Tyler Caffey, 8, multiple times while Terry Caffey, the lone survivor, was shot in the head. After shooting and stabbing the victims the four set the house on fire before fleeing.

Now police are saying the rampage may have been sparked due to the parent’s disapproval of a relationship their daughter was involved in.

The 16-year-old was found hiding at the house of one of the suspects. Police have charged Charlie James Wilkinson, 19; Charles Allen Wade, 20; and Bobbi Gale Johnson, 18 each with three counts of capital murder and have set their bond at $1.5 million.

It is believed the daughter will be facing the same charges, she is being held at Hunt County’s juvenile detention center in Greenville. The remaining three suspects are still being held at the Rains County jail.
