Travis Perkins plc (TPK) to Release Preliminary 2007 Earnings March 4

Travis Perkins plc (LON:TPK) will release the preliminary earnings for 2007 on March 4.

A builder merchant and home improvement retailer in the United Kingdom, Travis Perkins is engages in the sale of timber, building materials, plumbing and heating products and the hiring of tools to the building trade and industry generally and to the general public in the United Kingdom.

The company is operated within two business divisions, Builders Merchanting and DIY Retailing.

The company reported adding 42 branches during the year ended December 31, 2006.  These branches included nine acquisitions, 33 brownfields, which included three Wickes, three closures, five merchant relocations, and three Wickes Extra conversions.

The company acquired Passmore Drywall & Insulation Limited in January 2007.  Passmores has five branches that sells dry lining and insulation products in East London, Basildon, Cannock, Christchurch and West London.
