The Eagles will be performing live at the Stockholm Globe Arena on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 pm.
The group originally broke up in 1980, however, the band came together in 1994 to release Hell Freezes Over. A tour followed and the performers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
In the shape of a large golf ball, the Stockholm Globe Arena, or Globen (meaning “The Globe” in Swedish), stands in Stockholm Sweden boasting a 110 meter diameter, an inner height of 85 meters and a volume of 600,000 cubic meters. The venue can accommodate 16,000 for concerts and 14,119 for ice hockey. The facility was built to represent the Sun in the Sweden Solar System. It is the world’s largest scale model of the Solar System.
The facility has been the host to several guests, such as Pope John Paul II, the Dalai Lama and Nelson Mandela. Several artists have also performed at the venue, including Kiss, Bob Dylan, Maria Carey, The Rolling Stones, Guns N Roses, Bruce Springsteen, Britney Spears, Black Sabbath, Simon and Garfunkel, U2, Shania Twain, REM, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Def Leppard, Rush, Aerosmieth, Beyonce, Linkin park, The Who, The Police and several others.
