U.S. Marine Shown Throwing Puppy Over Cliff in Iraq

A U.S. Marine was recorded throwing a puppy over a cliff and now that video has hit the Internet and caused serious backlash for the military and the soldier in question.

Reports have suggested that the Marine was based at the Marine Corp Base Hawaii at Kaneohe and was on tour in Iraq when the incident occurred.

Marine officials have said they were looking into the video and determining if it is authentic. According to Maj. Christopher Perrine, “This is a shocking and deplorable video that contrary to the high standards we set for every Marine. We will investigate this and take appropriate action.”

If the video is found to be authentic the Marines involved could face serious consequences including discharge.
