Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) won the Republican presidential nomination Tuesday night, causing former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee to drop out and endorse the frontrunner.
McCain swept all four Republican contests on Tuesday to become his party's presumptive nominee.
McCain won primaries in Texas, Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island, giving him more than the 1,191 delegates needed to clinch the GOP nomination. McCain has amassed 1,195 thus far.
McCain received 68% of the votes in Rhode Island, 51% in the Texas primary, 60% in Ohio, and 72% in Vermont.
McCain is on his way to the White House Wednesday to receive the endorsement of President George W. Bush.
