Rafael Nadal Wins French Open

Spanish tennis great Rafael Nadal won his 5th French Open title on Sunday by beating Robin Soderling of Swededn 6-4 6-2 6-4. Nadal, who had been plagued by constant knee problems for months, lost Roland Garros in 2009, but he seems to have returned to top form. In fact, on Monday, Nadal surpasses Roger Federer as the number 1 ranked played in the World, having secured his seventh Grand Slam title overall on Sunday. Nadal said, "I lost last year because I was not well-prepared, and I had very low morale last year, as well... But this time, I'm back... I'm back -- and I win." With a 38-1 record now at Roland Garros, Rafa trails Bjorn Borg's French Open title record (6) by just one title.
