Foo Fighters to Perform at the Pacific Coliseum March 30

Foo Fighters will be performing live at the Pacific Coliseum on Sunday, March 30 at 7:30 pm.

Formed by Dave Grohl, of Nirvana, the Foo Fighters has been active within the music industry since the death of Kurt Cobain in 1995.  The name was inspired by a World War II term, which referenced a UFO.

 

Popular Foo Fighter songs include, “This is a Call, “ “Everlong,” “Learn to Fly,” “All my Life,” “Times Like These,” “Best of You,” “DOA,” “The Pretender” and “Long Road to Ruin.”

 

Three out of six albums by the band has won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and t heir studio albums feature movie soundtracks such as “The One” which can be heard in Orange County (2002).

 

The Pacific Coliseum is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  The indoor arena was completed in 1968 on the former site of the Pacific National Exhibition with a capacity of 15,569.  Currently venue can accommodate up to 16,281.

 

The coliseum resident is the Vancouver Giants from the Western Hockey League.  Previously, the facility housed Vancouver Canucks of the NHL and the WHL,  the Vancouver Blazers of the WHA and the Vancouver Voodoo of the RHI.
