Bon Jovi to Perform Live at the Air Canada Centre March 13

Bon Jovi will be performing live at the Air Canada Centre on Monday March 13 at 7:30 pm.

 

Fronted by Jon Bon Jovi from Sayreville, New Jersey, Bon Jovi is a hard rock band that gained fame in the 1980s.  The band was formed in 1983 and featured Jon Bon Jovi (vocals), Richie Sambora (guitar), David Bryan (keyboard), Alec John Such (bass),and Tico Torres (drums).

 

The band release two moderately successful albums in 1984 and 1985 but did not make it big until the release of Slippery When Wet in 1986 and New Jersey in 1988.  The two albums soled 19 million copies in the United States alone and charted eight Top Ten hits, four of which were number 4.  The release of the two albums is what threw the band into global stardom. 

 

The band won a Grammy award for their collaboration with Jennifer Nettles, from Sugarland, on “Who Says You Cant Go Home” which made them become the first rock band to hit #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart.  In addition, the band also received Grammy nominations for music from their albums Crush, Bounce and Lost Highway.

 

In total, the band has released ten studio albums, nine of which have gone platinum.  Nineteen singles have been charted on the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, four hitting #1, “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin on a Prayer,” “Bad Medicine” and “Ill Be There For You.”
