Summer Camps Preparing for Rush of Campers

Summer camps across the U.S. are preparing to open their doors to kids and teens in the days ahead and parents can't wait.

Whether it's at kids camps or teen summer camps, camp directors are preparing for the onslaught and parents are preparing for an early break from their kids' long summer break.

It's a little different at some academic summer camps, such as SuperCamp, now in its twenty-seventh year. Camp staff can't wait for the camps to begin because of the energy, excitement and fun that 10 days at SuperCamp means for everyone. The students feed off the energy of the staff and vice versa.

"The energy at camp is incredible," said Chicka Elloy, SuperCamp Programs Manager. "It's non-stop from sun up to lights out, which makes it fun for staff and campers alike."

SuperCamp staff are trained in Quantum Learning methods of teaching and learning, including the skill of engaging students in order to facilitate the learning process. This high level of engagement is what enables SuperCamp to achieve such outstanding results in just 10 days.

Camp staff also are adept at creating many mini-success moments for each camper. This process is a big part of helping to build the confidence, self-esteem and motivation of participants. This component combined with valuable life skills training provides kids and teens with an added focus for the new school year and an "I can accomplish anything" mindset.

SuperCamp customizes its program for various ages. There is Junior Forum for kids entering grades 6-8 and Senior Forum delves into team-building dynamics, leadership and interpersonal skills for students entering grades 9-12. SuperCamp also offers Quantum U, which helps incoming college students and current college freshmen to get ready for the new world of college that awaits them.

Space remains available some of SuperCamp's nine U.S. camp locations, but parents interested in finding a spot should act immediately. They can visit the company's summer programs website or call 800-285-3276 to speak with an enrollment specialist.
