Widow of Steve Irwin, “Crocodile Hunter,” Being Sued by Debt Recovery Agency

Terri Irwin, the widow of iconic conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin, is being sued by a debt recovery agency that claims the Australia Zoo founded by the “Crocodile Hunter” owes more than $2.3 million.

According to Alyssa Treasury Services the Australia Zoo has failed to honor the bills of exchange following a business restructuring deal.

The lawsuit was filed last month in southern Victoria. Teri had been trying to move the case to Queensland but that application was denied.

Part of the suit claims that Terri Irwin personally owes $56,000.

The case is expected to go to trial in October.
