ManiaTV Scores Music and TV Veteran as Head of Music Content

Former MTV executive, VP of Loud records and founder of Chinese ticketing company will bring 20 years of experience to the TV 2.0 movement

Los Angeles- maniaTV has signed Amy Finnerty as the new head of music programming and senior producer. She will take over label and talent relations and will be responsible for producing all of the music shows as well as strategic partnerships related to music.

Before joining maniaTV, Finnerty was a founder of East West Presents, a Chinese touring and ticketing company. She also has experience as Vice President of Artist and Repertoire at Loud Records, and was Director of Music Programming, Partnerships, and Talent Relations at MTV where she championed and facilitated careers at MTV for artists like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, Fat Boy Slim, The Breeders, etc.

• While at East West Presents, Amy Negotiated with China’s government, the Ministry of Culture, to attain venue permits and acted as a liaison between East West, artists, and the People’s Republic of China.
• As Director of Music Programming, Partnerships, and Talent Relations at MTV , Amy helped champion and facilitate lengthy careers of bands like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Fat Boy Slim, and The Breeders by mediating interviews, arranging live performances, and creating specialty programming.
• As Vice President of A&R for Loud Records, Amy negotiated and finalized record contracts with artists including Ozzy Osbourne, Incubus, and Rage Against the Machine.
• Produced Tibetan Freedom Concerts, a two day live show hosted by the Beastie Boys featuring 26 artists.
• Facilitated and developed innovative programming at MTV including Buzz Bin and Amp, broadening the viewer base.
• Established and maintained partnerships between MTV, record labels, managers, artists and industry.
