A day after new hit that movie superstar Patrick Swayze was battling pancreatic cancer and was facing a fight against the clock his doctor has said the prognosis for the 55-year-old actor may not be so ominous.
Original reports indicated that Swayze, star of such blockbusters as “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost,” had approximately five weeks left to live but now Dr. George Fisher, Swayze’s physician, said he is much more optimistic about the prognosis.
Swayze’s rep., Annett Wolf, confirmed that he did have pancreatic cancer but also released a statement from Fisher that stated “Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far.”
