Bon Jovi to Perform Live at Mellon Arena March 15

Bon Jovi will be performing live at Mellon Arena on Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 pm.

Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, Alec John Such and Tico Torres are on the road as Bon Jovi on the Lost Highway Tour.  Since their formation in 1983, the band has gone on to release ten studio albums.  Nine of those albums became platinum.  In addition, nineteen of the band’s singles have hit the charts, four of which hit #1 on the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.  The number one songs were “You Give Love a Bad Name”, “Living on a Prayer”, “Bad Medicine” and “Ill Be There for You”. 

Although the band’s first two albums were moderately successful, they did not become the global rock stars they are today until the release of Slippery When Wet (1986) and New Jersey (1988).  Together, the albums sold 19 million copies in the United States as well as charted eight Top Ten Hits.

Bon Jovi received Grammy nominations for their albums, Crush, Bounce and Lost Highway, but won a Grammy for their work with Jennifer Nettles, of Sugarland.  The two worked together on “Who Says You Cant Go Home” which set Bon Jovi as the first rock band to have a #1 hit on the Hot Country Songs chart.
