Ron Paul to End Republican Presidential Run

Ron Paul is believed to be preparing to end his run for the White House after releasing a video in which he stated “Though victory in the conventional political sense is not available in the presidential race, many victories have been achieved due to your hard work and enthusiasm.”

The Texas Congressman became an internet sensation early in the campaign as he sought the Republican presidential nomination but he quickly found himself in a deep hole against the likes of John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney.

Favoring what his “Hope for America” Web site labeled “limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies,” Paul grabbed headlines for an uncanny ability to raise massive amounts of money through frenzied campaign contributors.

With McCain wrapping up the nomination following last Tuesday’s primaries and caucuses former Arkansas Gov. Huckabee dropped out of the race, leaving Paul as the lone Republican in the campaign with the Arizona senator.
