Two Firefighters Killed Battling Blaze in Salisbury, North Carolina

Two firefighters have died and another three have suffered injures after battling a massive blaze at the Salisbury Millwork milling firm in Salisbury, N.C.

 

The fire began shortly after 7:00 a.m. and burned uncontrollably for several hours. At one point firefighters were inside the building while flames could be seen shooting through the roof.

 

One firefighter died at the scene while a second was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The three injured firefighters were admitted to hospitals with first and second degree burns but are expected to make full recoveries.

 

The Salisbury Millwork makes laminate cabinets and moldings along with other wood products.
