Usher announced his album title and its a release date on Friday. The new Usher album is named Here I Stand and will be released sometime in June.
His album's first single, "Love in This Club," is No. 1 in the country and made the third-largest jump to the top in the 50-year history of Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The record, which was just No. 51 last week, rose 50 spots. The single's video is being filmed in Atlanta next week.
Polow da Don, the producer of the club hit, leaked the song in order to get an early buzz on the album. The song also features Young Jeezy.
In addition to Polow, the Here I Stand recording sessions have included collaborations with Jermaine Dupri, Dre & Vidal, Timbaland, Ludacris and Nelly, with Sean Garrett and Lil Jon still scheduled to check in.
Usher's last album Confessions was released in 2004 and sold over 15 million copies. Usher became the third lead artist in pop music history (but the first solo artist) to have three singles inside the Hot 100's top 10 since The Beatles in 1964, and the Bee Gees in 1978. The singles were "Yeah!", "Burn" and "Confessions Part II".
