Photos Released of Suspect in Eve Carson Murder Case

Police have released a series of photographs of a man they believe to be a suspect in the murder of 22-year-old University of North Carolina student Eve Carson. During a press conference held Saturday morning police called the photos “the biggest break” yet in their investigation.

The photos were taken by a camera at an ATM and show a black male in his late teens to early 20s driving an SUV. Police did not reveal when the photos were taken or the location of the ATM, saying they would be asking the suspect those questions.

Carson’s body was found about a mile from the school’s campus early Wednesday morning. She had been shot at least once in the head and her blue 2005 Toyota Highlander was missing.

On Thursday afternoon police found her vehicle and have been analyzing it for evidence.
