Wilco Preparing for Run of Shows in Australia and New Zealand Beginning March 18

Wilco will be wrapping up their brief U.S. run of shows with stops in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Cain’s Ballroom on March 8 and West Des Moines, Iowa at the Val Air Ballroom on March 9 before heading to Australia for a run of shows.

The band will hit Australia for shows on March 18 in Newton at the Enmore Theatre and then their travel to Brisbane for a show at The Tivoli on March 19. Wilco will then take part in the East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival” in Byron Bay on March 20 and then travel to New Zealand for the “Coromandel Peninsula Blues & Roots Festival” on March 22 in Witianga.

Following the festivals Wilco will play two more shows in New Zealand before one last show in Melbourne, Australia.

Wilco has released seven albums since forming in 1994. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot has been their most successful to date with sales of nearly 600,000 copies. In 2005 they won a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
