SUPERCHARGED NOTEBOOKS: Diskeeper Lite Adds Performance Edge to ThinkPad Notebooks

Diskeeper Corporation today announced that Diskeeper Lite, a version of the companys number one defragmentation software, will be included on select models of ThinkPad Z60t and Z60m notebooks.

    A recently released white paper entitled, The Impact of Disk Fragmentation (1), demonstrates why heavy fragmentation can cause commonly-used applications such as Microsoft Word to slow down by as much as 15x; Outlook by 3x and Internet Explorer by 2x. These delays are simply unacceptable in todays computing world.

    With the introduction of Diskeeper Lite to the notepad environment, ThinkPad users wont have to endure slows or sluggish applications caused by fragmentation. And unlike the built-in defragmentation solution that comes with Windows, Diskeeper Lites engines are designed to handle large files, rapidly, while using the lowest possible system resources. Users also have the option to upgrade to a full automatic version of the product to take advantage of Diskeeper's "Set it and Forget it" features.
